一早，七點多就醒了。我盤算著應該先開電腦轉檔，然後下樓到車上拿記憶卡，存好後再到車上看效果。如此大費周章，只因 Linkin Park 回來了。

這幾天，Linkin Park 復出的消息席捲了網路。2024 年 9 月 5 日，幸運中簽的粉絲們被巴士接送至洛杉磯的一個舞台欣賞 Linkin Park 的演出，而這次活動也同於網上進行直播。

在 Chester 離開我們，Linkin Park 消沉七年之後，他們總算以最新的陣容重新出現，並帶來了新任鼓手 Colin Brittain 和女主唱 Emily Armstrong。點開 Youtube 之後，Emily 的聲音 (和台風) 讓我震驚不已，而她重新詮釋的〈Numb〉亦是如此觸動人心，讓我在車上潸然淚下。

2017 年 7 月 20 日，Chester 選擇在自家中結束生命，讓全球樂迷震驚且心碎。在短暫的 41 年中，他經歷遭長年性侵、憂鬱症及藥物酒精成癮等多種問題。即使他用切身之痛寫出治癒人們的歌曲，但最終 Chester 依舊無法戰勝心魔，一代傳奇就此殞落。

不過，Linkin Park 並未就此停歇。七年之後，他們總算帶著最新陣容與全球樂迷見面。我興奮地在 LINE 上將這則消息轉告給多個好友。他們回來了！

今年 38 歲的新女主唱 Emily Armstrong 原本是 Dead Sara 樂隊主唱，已在搖滾界浸淫多年，擅長吉他與詞曲創作。據稱 Linkin Park 在 2023 年 9 月左右邀請她加入樂隊。在與 Dead Sara 樂隊成員討論後，團員都鼓勵她抓住這個機會。而新鼓手 Colin 則是詞曲創作人 (創始鼓手 Rob Bourdon 退團)。巧的是，這兩位新成員都曾和日本樂團 One OK Rock 合作過。
