原本只是殺時間，沒想到重玩到一半的 Borderlands 2 發行重製版，提供原有顧客免費下載。真是天外飛來福音，不得暗讚 Gearbox 是有良心的開發商。預定 9 月推出的 Borderlands 3 買定了。
Gearbox 在今年 4 月初針對 Borderlands、Borderlands 2 和 Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel 發行了一次重大更新 (其實就是重製版)。更新重點是提供高解析度的材質、改善反鋸齒和描邊效果，提供更平順的陰影和真實的環境光線。
• Remastered 4K environment textures, including geometry and skyboxes
• Remastered 4K characters and vehicles
• Remastered 4K weapon meshes and textures
• Improved Anti-Aliasing, including improved edge line implementation
– This includes improved ink line definition and framing/outline around character models
• Higher Resolution Dynamic Shadows
– Improved quality and smoothness of shadows, especially during movement
• Improved Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
– An improved SSAO method for more realistic ambient lighting models
Borderlands GOTY (年度版) 會以增強版 (Enhanced) 方式提供給 Steam 上的現有客戶。Borderlands 2 和 Borderlands: Pre-Sequel 則需到此處和此處下載更新。
